I felt really good on Saturday so "The Rev" and I took full advantage. We went out to eat at Bonna Bella Yacht Club ( not really a yacht club in the true sense of the word). Mark met us there and it was delightful. The food was delicious, the view incredible, the weather perfect, and the company great. If you are ever in Savannah.....you must check this out. It is off the beaten path to say the least....but it can be found.
As you can see, if you go expecting a "yacht club" you will be disappointed. The wooden areas wrap around the building. You are right in the middle of a marsh on the water.
After eating, we went geocaching. We haven't been since vacation. I love geocaching for alot of reasons....one because it takes my mind off other stuff. We went to an area of Savannah called Isle of Hope.......beautiful. Another must see place in Savannah that is off the beaten track. The roads are narrow and often one lane. One on side of the road are these beautiful homes and right across that narrow road is the water. Let me be quiet and let the pictures do the talking.
As you can see, the homes are decorated and ready for fall! This area and these homes just scream "The South" to me and they whisper "Savannah"! A great place to visit and to geocache.
A quick request, I have added a follower button on my blog. I am just curious about who is reading and following along. While I would love your comments, if you are not a commenting kind of person...would you please click the follow button so that I can have some idea of the brave souls who read my random wandering words!
Thanks and Blessings for a great week!
Cindy
You live in such a gorgeous place!!!!! Savannah must be one of the most beautiful places in the south. I live out in the country with the woods and a creek behind the house, lots of wildlife and that's about all I can say. I do have that "bloom where you are planted" attitude and I do love my place here in North Louisiana but gosh you make me just a tiny bit green! ;)
