Hi I am Leah...Cindy's daughter and I wanted to update some of you and let others know why mama hasn't been on with a new blog lately. On Sunday morning she was rushed to the hospital after my Daddy (the Rev. as you all know him) had to breathe life back into her till the ambulance got there. She was found to have bleeding on her brain and my father was told she had an aneruism and it had burst. She has been in Neuro ICU since that time and has undergone a collasped lung, which resulted in a breathing tube put into her side. She had a test in which they put dye into her head to look for the aneruism and check the veins. This test was performed on Monday morning and nothing was found and the vessels appear clear and nothing to show where the blood had come from. The Doctor informed us that she would have the test repeated this upcoming Monday but until then she would remain in Neuro ICU until then.
Since the test bestly (sure not a word but it works) put by her wonderful and very blunt Nurse Lee she and us as a family have been on a roller coaster ride. She has had ups and downs with severe headaches and nausea, problems with her breathing due to the collasped lung and of course the draining of the blood on the brain. She had a lumbar drain put in her back up to her neck to help with the draining of the blood and to help with some of the pain in her head.
Now since I have very briefly caught you up I would like you to know about her condition now....Everyday she seems to be getting stronger and making progress. She is getting out of her bed by the help of one of her physial therapist and sitting in a chair. She had not ate since Saturday night supper and she did eat a little today. She is and will to continue to have severe headaches and pains in her neck from what we are told for some time and maybe forever due to the blood. She is such a strong woman and we feel as a family she is getting over the hump. We are not certain still of what is the cause and may never know and not certain when we can bring our mama, mimi and wife home. However, we are certain of this even through all the fear and bad situation this has brought our family even closer and sealed our bond. We have vow to love each other even deeper and not take each other or time for granted. God has blessed us beyond words and we are so thankful to have Mama here with us. We will be taking this day by day and I will try to keep you updated as much as possible.
Thanks for being loyal and loving friends to my mama..................as I know its a blessing just to have her in your life. Please keep her in your prayers.
Leah

Kim sent me here from Daisy Cottage. I am sorry to learn that your mother has been so very ill. It's important to lift one another in prayer even in Blogland and especially when prayer has been requested. Please know that I am keeping Cindy in my prayers for a complete healing and that comfort would surround you all. Keep looking up!

I have found my way here from Daisy Cottage. I hate it when bad things happen to good people, but you know - that's just life. A very good friend of mine also had a brain aneruism last year. She has now made an almost total recovery. Glory to God! I'm believing with you all for complete restoration for Cindy. Blessings to you all, Elaine

Cindy, I called and spoke to Steve this morning. I feel better but still so worried. The Rev kindly gave me his cell number and said I can call it later and possibly get to talk to you!!!! I have gotten in touch with Kim at Daisy Cottage. She has informed her many readers to pray for you and has asked me to keep her informed of your condition.
I love you dear friend and hope to talk to you today. Stay strong and get well soon!

An unmet friend via Daisy Cottage..... just popped over to say 'Get well soon Cindy!'
Praise be to Him who holds all His own in His hand. Blessed is Cindy (and Leah, and 'The Rev'...) who perseveres through trials of many kinds.... (James 1:1)
Praying for you.

Dear Leah, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your Mother. My very best friend had two aneurisms, she had surgery to clip them and that was 20yrs ago. She still has to go in and have tests done every few years but she has been so very happy and healthy. We are so happy that she recovered so well, as I pray your Mother will too.
In our prayers,
Chrissie
